Winner of SOFI Silver Outstanding Line 2010
Capers are the flower buds of a native Mediterranean bush that grows in the mountains of Tunisia. Unlike most commercial capers that are packed in brine, the Mahjoub’s capers are dried in sea salt to preserve their distinct flavor. As with all of the Mahjoub products, this is produced using traditional farming methods with no additives or artificial processes. This product is 100% organic.
Add these capers to salad dressings, marinades, cured salmon, and sautéed or grilled fish dishes.
These condiments do not have preservatives. To make them last longer: keep upright, top with olive oil upon opening (can do this every use if desired), and refrigerate.
All of Les Moulins Mahjoub products are 100% organic and vegan, produced using traditional farming methods and processed with no additives and no artificial processes. The Mahjoub family’s roots in the town of Tebourba, in Tunisia’s Medjerda Valley, go back to the 18th century. The region itself has been renowned for the richness and quality of its soil for over two thousand years, since the time of the Roman Empire. Then as now, grains were grown in large quantities, olive harvests were abundant, and market gardening was highly developed, with a huge variety of fruit and vegetables. No wonder this family estate can cultivate such a magnificent medley of produce on their farms.
